My God! my friend you make me be in troubles, now I am thinking seriously in delete many of my rock music ; begining with the complete recording of Pink Floyd , just for have more music of my favorite composser : Antonio Vivaldi ( Il prete roso ) for me Vivaldi is the founder “the father” of modern solo concerto instrument, establishing a perfect balance between soloist and orchestra: inclusive Bach take the method of Vivaldi for his future music .. my friend @Rachmaninov .. thanks so much for this music and All the best!!
Mi Arthurinho…there is (later) more to come from the “prete rosso”. From now on, stay tuned and in the next 2 hours you find more
Can Anywhere or Rachmaninov explain why some recordings here are called “audiophile” and others not. I see no special reasons for most recordings to name them “special”.
The one who knows does not speak,
The one who speaks does not know..
Then keep it quiet if you find a cd exceptional, the ones who know don’t need a recommendation
.
I understand now that Rachmaninov expresses his own findings about some cd’s. That is his good right and I accept it as his judgement. I did however assume at first that there was a journal, paper or list where I could find which cd’s are commonly considered as audiophile.
Novego…with all humbleness that i can get…if you trust in me
i started to sing and learning piano with 5 Years and more than one person said to me, at that time, i had a “golden ear” – it means that rare capability to hear what is right and what not. Maybe for this i was predestinated to become a great fan of HiFi and a greater fan of the High-End HiFi. By the way, i hear classical and operatics all my life and attended in the last 35 years hundreds of concerts…surely most of them classical and operatics, but rock, blues and jazz too – so that i can say about me, that i am able to hear if some CD/record is quiet good, really good, audiophile and so on.
Of course you’re right, my “etikettes” are only my opinion. Look at WHATEVER…he posted tousends of CDs here, all togheter without the word “audiophile”…but i’m sure, there are several CDs among them, that are audiophile.
About magazines or like that, where you find listings of records…i think, this doesn’t exist. You can start making your own listings, of course, you need time to achieve this experience – i can only help you in your start with some labels, that are audiophile: ATR, Miller & Kreisel, Crystal Clear, Tacit, Fone, Linn, Gale, Chesky, Cisco, Umbrella, Harmonia Mundi, Reference Records, Chandos, Telarc, Decca, Emi, Rca, Mercury (of the last four that i named, look especially for the old productions from 50ies and 60ies) – also many japanese like Denon, JVC, Toshiba.
But all this doesn’t mean, that every single production is audiophile…same for the unnamed: surely you find some great audiophile recording on other labels, known and obscures, that are not (in classical meaning) a audiophile label
If it sounds close to the truth (live concerts) and naturally if you have a really good equipement, you can hear, what “audiophile” means
Thank you for your reaction, Rachmaninov.
I too started playing the piano with 5 years and attended in the last 45 years many concerts and opera’s in my home town Amsterdam and elsewhere.
Due to my age High-End HiFi is beyond my hearing capabilities, above 16 kHz I hear very little.
For me is not the recording technique important but the quality of the music players and singers and their interpretation. I agree that some labels offer more quality than others, but it is the quality of the musical performance I’m looking for.
Keep up your good work with this site!
I love the presto in this cd!!
made me really feel in strom
thanks for upload!
Thanks a lot.
