Audiophile HD-Vinyl 24/192 (Telarc) Modest Mussorgsky – Pictures At An Exhibition (Maazel)

A heartly “thank you” to our friend Mats for this gift
Ihmo this is one of the very very few performances (if not the only one) that comes very close to the millenium-recording by Fritz Reiner from 1958. Perfect in any way: tempi, coordination, dramatical atmosphere, sound. Don’t ask me why a digital production, presumably made with 16bit/44.1kHz technology, sounds ways better from vinyl than from CD. I don’t know. Try and believe.
