Audiophile HD-Vinyl 24/96 (Philips) Ariel Ramirez – Misa Criolla/Navidad Nuestra (José Carreras)

This excellent album is something to treasure. If you ever buy only one disc with Jose Carreras, this one might just be the one!!!
Although this was recorded just before the treatment for leukemia started (I believe Carreras already knew about it), it was the perfect choice at that time. His voice retains it’s beautiful pureness throughout, which no one can match, and he doesn’t need to force his instrument. Listen to some of the phrasing, especially when he is singing pianissimo in the slow passages, it’s almost unbelievebly beautiful. The way he “speaks” the words and the depth of emotion, he is inside the music, inside the the words. That the composer was present (playing the piano) does of course add to the glorious result of these sacred pieces.

Ripping Infos

If You hear some clicks and pops here and there, Who cares?
Id rather have a few light anomalies instead of destroying the music.
Enjoy the music, not the ticks & pops.
I tend more and more, in the last time, to de-click with an automatic setting between 0.7 and 1.2 so you can say, my rips are like half rough rips.

  • Software: iZotope RX 4 Advanced, Adobe Audition CS 5.5, Twisted Wave 1.9
  • Very light de-clicking with iZotope, significant clicks manually removing, no de-noising
  • DR-Analisys before converting to Flac
  • Converting Wave -> Flac: Twisted Wave 1.9
  • Artwork: Sony Alpha 350, Epson Perfection V750 Pro, Photoshop CS 5.5

  1. Dear Rach,
Thank You so much for this heart touching master piece, waiting for it for so long time after my LP was gone . . .
With All my best wishes to You, 🙂

  2. Dear RACH,
Is it by any chance in the near future also possible to see this rare jewel at its best 24bit/192kHz available . . . to all of us music lovers of this rare brilliant master piece.
    Will patiently wait for it.
You make me also the beautiest Christmas gift… to hear My asking wish from the last year for the Canatate Domino at its best 24bit/192kHz.

Please take My kindest THANK YOU for it.

    1. Hi Jan, dear friend, what is wrong with the Mis Criolla in 24/96?
The difference to 24/192 is very thiny if you have a really good HiFi equipment. If you hear from your PC, don’t worry, you never hear any difference.

      Peace and Love.

      1. Dear RACH,
You are the MASTER of the finest musical sources for my soul, and I’m ever thankful to You for any gift You share with us.
The 96k is fine too but the native 192k|24 or even orig. 32 Bit is noticeable superior to the 96k files on my balanced Phones Amp driving Balanced My Senheisser HD800. I can hear it instantly with ease.
I have most of the mentioned jewels in my previous life before our house was totally robber-ed in 1995. they took everything, also my LP12, and all the rest . . . Never recover from this.
Nowadays I only listen to the digital music in DSD 128x.
The any PCM was dead for me almost last 6 yrs.
As I mentioned once to You that I wonder some-have to have a highest PCM Audio files of Canate Domino prior to ask my very good friend to do a final REMASTERING on its old vintage all tubed mixing console via 2 inch Studer Tubed Tape and then convert it via PYRAMIX staight to DSD 128x for me.
If You’d be able to hear his DSD remasterings only once than would be the PCM dead for You too. This is the only reason for me to ask-get the native, the purest and the highest bit and PCM audio rate files prior to this happen.
I wonder to know if You use a MAC or PC to prepare for You a sample of Your choice so You can actually have a real experience of what I’m talking here.
Can I PM You some how to not hijacking this nice thread here.

Please take my warm wishes to You and to all Your loved ones.

        Love + Thankfulness = HAPPINESS . . .
Long Live my dear Friend RACH

          1. Thank You sooo much in advance, will patiently waiting.
What would You like me to prepare for Your Heart-soul till then ?

            Can I PM You, or
            Can You PM me

            With my Warm wishes,

              1. Dear RACH,
I’m sorry I’m not a comp. freak, please forgive me, how can I PM You or where to log in to do that ?

Thank You for the patience with me,

With my warm wishes To You,

                1. on the main page, right side, just under the Filefactory logo, you see “Private messages” and “klick here to go to the inbox” – klick on there and you get a page with your received msgs…or empty page, if don’t have any msg. On the left side you see some symbols….take the 3rd from below, that letter symbol. Go with the mouse over it and you see three options: Inbox, Outbox, Send.

(possible that you have less symbols than me, because I’m admin…I don’t know, anyway take that letter symbol)

Klick on “Send” and you get a page with a field for the recipient (me, in this case) type my nick with a comma at the end (Rachmaninov,). Then type the subject in the next field and then write the msg. Then send.

                  1. Dear RACH,
I did as You suggested, but not sure You get the PM or I did something wrong anyway ?
Foe the target \i was just copy the exact in between quotes : Rachmaninov,
and click send, the send notice it is send’ed with 0% of errors so i thought it’s ok. The PM message is still in my out-box so I’m not sure If You get it? Can You please check Your in-box and confirm if You get the PM.
Thank You for the patience with me,

With my warm wishes To You,
