HD-Vinyls 24/96 (Philips) Volume 6 – EDIZIONE VIVALDI by Philips on 49 LPs

front_small_boxset06
Box 06 with 4 LPs
This is a project I wanted to realize for my life and I started to buy the box-sets from all over the world. It took me around 3 years, because I wanted only Mint or NearMint box-sets. So 3 of them are Mint and never played, all the other are NM. The whole collection costed me almost 600 EUR…if you feel, you want to contribute to this Herakles-work, so you are welcome.

Ripping Infos

Monitoring

If You hear some clicks and pops here and there, Who cares?
Id rather have a few light anomalies instead of destroying the music.
Enjoy the music, not the ticks & pops.
I tend more and more, in the last time, to de-click with an automatic setting between 0.7 and 1.2 so you can say, my rips are like half rough rips.

  • Software: iZotope RX 4 Advanced, Adobe Audition CS 5.5, Twisted Wave 1.9
  • Very light de-clicking with iZotope, significant clicks manually removing, no de-noising
  • DR-Analisys before converting to Flac
  • Converting Wave -> Flac: Twisted Wave 1.9
  • Artwork: Sony Alpha 350, Epson Perfection V750 Pro, Photoshop CS 5.5

  1. Rach, my heart is broken;
    I downloaded all 10 archives and # 1 says no repair found in file;
without it I can’t do anything with the others.
What advice do you have Dr.?

    Bob

    • Strange Rob, I didn’t have any issue unziping. Have you tried with 7-Zip. It’s very useful. Or maybe you need to download it again.

    • Bob, no one had this problen until now (about 110 DLs) I don’t know, what the problem could be. Try to DL part one again. I rar the files with Rarify (for mac). I use this program for years.

      • ! J:\1c\96kAnViEdi49Phil_Vol06.part01.rar: CRC failed in the encrypted file Volume06 (4LPs) 1968-75\Box 06 LP1 – A2 Concerto No. 2 G-Minor Op. 10 RV 439 ‘La Notte’.flac. Corrupt file or wrong password.
! J:\1c\96kAnViEdi49Phil_Vol06.part01.rar: Unexpected end of archive

RAR will not work at all. This is what I got from WinZip on archive 3; it was about the same on archive 2
To download from FF takes over 3 hours per archive
I just tried again on archive 2, FF started downloading at over 700 kb/s but quite rapidly sinks to 36.5 kb/s

          • yes, of course. I cleaned off all my cookies and call my IP company to double check I had high speed download, and I do; so I’m puzzled about what issue is for me.
I’m downloading just now the new Geza Anda files, and they also start out at 700+ KB/s, then quickly decrease to under 100 KB/s. very frustrating.

            Bob

            • Indeed, very hard bread…man, you could go crazy: China is as same far from USA like from EU…or not? I always have stable speeds for uploads and downloads…. It must be a sort of restriction from your gov. against all chinese products (would I think, when I were drunk)….or is this so?

              • yo no se, quimo sabe!

That is what Tanto would say to the Lone Ranger:
I don’t know quimo sabe! Perhaps ISSIS tampering with US? yo no se! No, no, it just came to me:
                NSA Spying on Americans

                Bob

                  • Finalmente! I got all 10 and it is beautiful.
Well worth the trouble and frustration. Apparently the devil was in the details; but its all OK now!
I’m happy, and Rach is a genius.
                    Bob

  2. with apologies, there appears to be a problem with part 1: when I try extracting the files I am getting an error message

    • This cannot be…what exactly do you make, on clicking on part 1? More than 400 DLs and no one had something to say about error msg on unraring.

      • I can download the part; the problem is extracting it – I am getting an error message that says the password is not correct – please remember that FF recently had issues; I am sure the problem is their fault. Regardless, if you download the files and then try to extract them, I am sure you will see for yourself what I am saying –
