Brand new vinyl, played here for the 1st time
Ladies and Gentlemen, here is the mother of all „Scheherazade“ recordings. At today, for more than half a century, no other production was able to beat Maestro Reiner and his Chicago Symphony Orchestra: good speed, real dramatical atmosphere, perfect tempo and a magnificent sound. This Analogue Productions Reissue on 200g is the best sounding version I ever heard.

After 54 (!) years there is nothing new under the sun, the masters of recording productions from the golden age – 50s and 60s – knew how to do it:
THE MAGIC OF THE PERFECT SOUND
Listen to this and believe it: the recording was made in 1960. One of the most expensive vinyl records by RCA LIVING STEREO, if in near mint condition and early pressing.
“…The second movement is just ravishing in the beauty of the Chicago’s playing and Reiner’s romantic approach; there is some staccato triple-tonguing done by trumpeter Adolph Herseth in the fourth movement that should leave you, if not him, breathless. But let is just be said that, after you hear this, no other Scheherazade will ever replace it in your affections.”
HP’s The Golden Dozen LPs – Harry Pearson, The Absolute Sound, June/July 2007
Led with grand authority by Fritz Reiner, the Chicago’s brass and wind section play gloriously throughout, and the final movement of Scheherazade (we learn from the original producer in an accompanying essay) was recorded in one take–an almost unheard-of feat. This fast movement is taken at breakneck speed, with no loss of clarity or power, with the strings in the hands of magicians.

If You hear some clicks and pops here and there, Who cares?
Id rather have a few light anomalies instead of destroying the music. Enjoy the music, not the ticks & pops.
I tend more and more, in the last time, to de-click with an automatic setting between 1.0 and 1.2 so you can say, my rips are like half rough rips.
