Many thanks to our friend Trottar for this beauty
It took only some hours of testing with some friends here and online to test my new super pre-amp with integrated tube phono section, to come to the verdict that there is no basis for a fairly comparison. The SP15 is way-way better…so I come to you with my first rip this quickly.
Are you ashamed, because you never heard or read the name of this piano “virtuoso”? You are in good company. I doubt, the majority of classical lovers (me included) has ever heard of Brigitte Engerer. And this is a real pity…and a sin.
Composer: Franz Schubert
Performer: Brigitte Engerer
Number of Discs: 1
DR-Analysis: DR 13
Size: 1.11 GB
The French pianist Brigitte Engerer (1952-2012) left a legacy that includes many wonderful solo albums, but if pressed to choose just one I would probably pick this late recital. Engerer invariably finds the ideal balance between delicacy and power. She was an outstanding artist from early on, but in the last stretch of her life it was as if anything standing between the music and the listener had melted away. Other outstanding recordings from this period includes the complete Chopin Nocturnes and Liszt Harmonies poetiques et religieuses, and there are some superb videos of live performances as well (check out YouTube). Let’s take pleasure in the direct, heartfelt beauty and unaffected elegance of her playing, and feel grateful for the legacy of a cherishable artist, Highly recommended.

If You hear some clicks and pops here and there, Who cares?
Id rather have a few light anomalies instead of destroying the music.
Enjoy the music, not the ticks & pops.
My rips are almost rough rips.
