• Our series of historic radio recordings from Russian archives has proved very popular all over the world. Many people have chosen performance over recording quality. – which, when necessary, we have improved optimally. – Thus allowing themselves the infinite joy of listening to legendary performers.
• The musicians in this large set are all (living) legends indeed: pianists, Sviatoslav Richter, Emil Gilels, Lazar Berman, Evgeny Kissin; violinists David Oistrakh, Leonid Kogan, Viktor Tretiakov and Gidon Kremer; cellists Rostropovich and Daniel Shafran. Solo works, chamber music and works with orchestra are included.
• The recordings of lesser-known and hardly ever heard repertoire are a definite additional bonus of this series. The list of mainly Russian composers comprises such names as Catoire, Medtner, Kazhlaev, and Vladigerov.
• This 100 CD set is combination of previously issued sets, with the exception of the recordings of Gidon Kremer. Simultaneously with this 100 CD box we separately issue a set of 10 CD’s by this violinist.
• A great opportunity to acquire an valuable collection of historic material in one purchase.
• See the tracklist in comments.

File on CD25 (Lazar Berman, disk 4 of 7) corrupted

Got it! The problem was most likely my Internet connection.
Again thanks very much for this. I am enjoying these recordings tremendously, especially Shafran. His recording of the Shostakovich Suite (with Shostakovich on piano!) is brilliant. Shafran’s diminuendo in the main theme of the lento is amazingly emotive!

Thank you very much for posting these recordings! They are marvelous. I am, however, having difficulty downloading CD 98, which does not download completely and, when I open the file, I get a message that the download had been unexpectedly ended. If you can fix it, that would be great. If you cannot, thank you anyway for all the others!

Hello there, thank you for your big upload work !
I had no errors during download or extraction. After batch-converting to mp3 (yes, I do this for some reasons) with the great foobar, there was an Error on Disk #25, Track #1 (Prokofiew Op. 11 Toccata), which is abridged to 2:55 min.
Of course we can get this peace from another place, but if you have some time, please fix it.
The other nearly 1000 mp3’s were OK, so you did a great job.
Thanks again.
