The Symphony No. 7 is the DGG Wiener Philharmoniker recording released in 1976 in stereo. The timings are identical.
The very good Abruckner.com website has a complete list of Karl Böhm’s Bruckner recordings which reveals there are no recordings of symphony no. 7 with the Staatskapelle Dresden:

Ironically the scans that Whatever supplied says the 7th Sym was perdormed by Dresden Staatskapelle.

If LCA1957’s research is correct then it must be an error by the publisher and producer of this Album.
It isalso interesting that the written Bio in English in the scans state that Bohm was the head Conductor of the Vienna State Opera from 1943-44. That doesn’t preclude him from going to Dresden for a recording; but did he?

What an interesting upload: Sym No. 4 recorded in 1936?
Though there is a flatness to the overall sound, the acoustcs are good and the sound is so clear, and no tape his or record pops:

Haven’t gotten to listen to Sym #7 yet. But other than Rach’s transcriptions from LPs I have nothing with which to compare these recordings.
I meant to ask, were either of these cut direct to disc or what kind of recorder was used if it was on tape – aren’t both of these prior to “mylar”? I have no clue as to German technology back then. And, I know hiss is hiss not his.

I believe from movement timings it is most likely Bohm 1976 Vienna recording with DG. The cymbal clash in the Adagio would indicate that it is the Novak edition.

Disc 2 can’t be Bohm’s 1944 7th timings are all wrong and it’s in stereo so who could it be?
