As beautiful as it is remarkable!
My first exposure to virtuoso harpist Judy Loman was via a CD titled `Baroque Harp’ released on the Marquis music label. Judy Loman – Baroque Harp She left me speechless with her exquisitely beautiful execution of some of the most sophisticated, complicated, and lovely compositions one could attempt on a harp! This CD titled `The Romantic Harp’ is no less impressive! This woman is simply remarkable! Jesus surely must have been smiling and blessing her nimble fingers as she performed at the St. John Chrysostom Church in Newmarket, Ontario, Canada in the summer of 2003. This wonderful CD showcases works by 20th century composers such as Carlos Salzedo, Kelly-Marie Murphy, and Nino ROTA among others. Judy Loman is without a doubt one of the finest harpists in the world! She performs with a perfect balance of precision and grace, sure to enthrall both the novice and discerning listeners. The audio quality, as with all NAXOS releases, is excellent. NAXOS is a recording label that I’ve come to trust and expect only the best from.
