Klemp’s Great Haydn

The Philharmonia Orchestra plays some great Haydn under Klemperer’s baton. The recordings are superb and the forward thrust of this classical music is captured with a warm and natural sounding resonance. Symphony 104 sounds completely different from other recordings as a liveliness and sonic purity propels the work ahead. The fourth movement has some droning chords that are non existent in other versions.
Each symphony receives a well thought, well played treatment. 4 cd set.
